3 Easy Business Lead Generation Strategies (Even You Could Do)

A lot of TonerRefillKits.com customers are business professionals and business owners, so it makes sense that the TRK blog can be more than just tips & tricks for printing. How we see it around the office is that if our customers are doing well then, we are doing well.

Occasionally, we do a post about business and for this one, it’s about promotion.

Here are the three that we’ve found to be incredibly rewarding for gaining attention for the business:

1. Facebook promoted posts

We’ve played around with Facebook advertising and can honestly say that promoted posts are well worth it on Facebook.

For those that are out the loop promoted posts are the ones you can sponsor from your FB page.

There are a couple of options when you decide to “boost” a post – target…:

  • Your followers
  • Friends of followers
  • Specific demographics

For $5 you can generally get a post to reach around 1,000 individuals depending on how many people like your FB page or if you’re targeting a specific demographic.

To make sure that you’re getting the most from the sponsored post you should put effort into creating a catchy hook in the text, use an attractive image, and make sure you’re sending individuals to a specific landing page that’s optimized for conversions.

Sponsored posts are quite fantastic for those businesses that haven’t delved into online advertising; after the first, you try you’ll get a hold of it. From then on out just use it appropriately (such as during a product launch or big event) and you’ll keep those advertising costs down while getting those eyeballs to the announcement.

2. A company blog

You may not feel that you’re a writer but it’s quite easy once you make the commitment. The wonderful thing about blogging is that it doesn’t need to be set up like an essay you would have done in school. It’s better to write in a casual tone (how you want it) rather than sticking to a guideline or worrying about the little things (like an occasional typo).

A company blog brings many benefits to the business:

  • It allows for transparency, so your fans can see what goes on behind-the-scenes
  • You’re creating content that’s indexed by search engines which lets people find you
  • It’s a platform to share updates, contests, and all those goodies to the community

When you first start blogging you may find that it may take you an hour or so to create the post but as time goes on you can bang them out in about 15 – 30 minutes (no problem).

What would you write about?

  • New product releases
  • Community questions
  • Employee highlights
  • Coupons and other offers
  • Tutorials, tips, and tricks

Just have a look at the TRK blog and you’ll see that we cover a good amount of information. There are some posts to help business owners (like this one since they’re a commanding amount of our customer base) and then fun things which cross our mind.

Give it a try. It’s easier than you think and can be very rewarding for your business.

3. The little extras

Anyone that has ordered from us knows that one of the things we like to do is include a small pack of M&M’s with each order. Including the candy started a long time ago and became a tradition. Since then it has become one of those things that have really helped the business.

How?

  • People will mention we do it to others
  • It gives something unique to the customers
  • Our employees are happy to know you’re enjoying the refilling experience

This small investment in including these treats with each order really goes the extra mile.

We suggest that you look at the type of business work with or operate and see if there is anything you might be able to include with each purchase.

For example:

  • If you sold shoes you could include an extra pair of shoelaces
  • If you sold food you could toss in a sample of a new product
  • If you provided a service, you could add in a free consultation

The point being is that these little extras add to the customer experience.

Every business has this ability to include the little extras and we highly encourage it; try it out for your business and see what ideas you can generate and then put them into action.
